Hansells
The story of Hansells Solicitors dates back to 1827 when Henry Hansell and Gardiner Chapman formed a partnership in The Close, Norwich.
Over the next few decades, the firm grew in size and stature, establishing itself as a prominent name in the region.
In 1971, Hansells merged with Stevenson and Co, a Norwich-based firm with roots dating back to the 19th century. The merger resulted in the formation of Hansell Stevenson, which continued to expand its client base across the city and county. In 1987, the partners of Blyth and Robinson joined the firm, bringing with them their experience and solid reputations.
During the 1990s, Hansells underwent further expansion, taking over Ian Forman & Co, Purdy & Co, J A Rosser & Co, and Edward Bell & Co. In 2001, the firm also acquired the Norwich and Cromer firm of Emmett and Tacon.
A year later, Hansells brought in five partners and their support teams from national law firm, Eversheds, and changed its name to Hansells.
In 2007, the firm acquired Canada House, based in North Walsham. In June 2014, it acquired Jennifer Easter Limited, a legal firm located in the historic market town of Wymondham, in East Anglia.
Today, Hansells has more than 80 staff and partners, working from five regional centres in Norwich, Aylsham, Cromer, North Walsham, and Wymondham.
Its head office is situated at Tombland, Norwich. The firm constantly strives to enhance and develop its services to meet the ever-changing needs of its personal and corporate clients.

This is my first time needing a solicitor and I couldn't have asked for a better experience working with Kathryn Hirst and her team. My case was handled extremely well with consistent communication, transparency and commitment to get everything completed
Thank you for taking the time to review our services. Kind regards
Absolutely shocking service from Hansells, absolutely no morals or integrity. After agreeing an offer for probate, they kept a property on the market. Whilst I have no legal recourse, as gazumping is still not illegal in England, you would expect companie
I used Neil Stubbs for a family law matter as my previous solicitors showed themselves to be incompetent, from the moment I met Neil it changed the way I felt about the matter and his professional manner made me feel the world wasn't against me and I did

Our prospective buyer was trying to buy our property via this solicitor. Communication was very slow, example emails not being acknowledged when sent from our solicitor. Other reviews on this site mention a similar theme Not recommended.
