Criminal Law Solicitors in Shepshed

Criminal cases connected to Shepshed are generally dealt with at Loughborough Magistrates' Court on Pinfold Gate, rather than the larger Leicester Magistrates' Court in the city centre - Shepshed sits within Charnwood borough, and Loughborough, not Leicester, is the more local venue for a first hearing. That's a useful thing to know early on, since knowing where a case will actually be heard makes it easier to plan around a hearing date and, if needed, get advice from a solicitor familiar with that specific court. Shepshed itself is a former hosiery and footwear manufacturing town that's grown into more of a residential and commuter base for Loughborough and the wider M1 corridor. The criminal work reaching local solicitors tends to reflect that mix - the routine motoring and low-level offences typical of any town of its size, alongside occasional matters connected to the industrial estates and warehousing that have grown up along the motorway corridor. Whichever the offence, the same general advice applies: engaging a solicitor before the first hearing at Loughborough, rather than turning up unrepresented, generally leads to a better-informed decision about plea and next steps.
