Who We Are

C&R Legal Solicitors is a firm of trusted local solicitors based in Lechlade, Gloucestershire, and Faringdon, Oxfordshire. The firm was formed in 2014 when two long-established local practices — Crowdy & Rose and Collard & Co — joined together, bringing their combined history, experience and skills into one company.
The Lechlade office (previously Crowdy & Rose Solicitors) has been established since the 1950s, while the Faringdon office traces its roots back over 200 years. Both offices act for private and commercial clients across the surrounding region.
C&R Legal describes itself as a friendly professional firm that offers personal, accessible legal assistance to individuals, families, and businesses, with an emphasis on clear communication and reasonably priced services.

Personal Services

• Conveyancing — residential buying and selling, freehold and leasehold, first-time buyers, and Remortgaging/transfers of equity. The firm is a member of the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme.
• Wills & Probate — fixed-fee will writing and probate/estate administration support for executors, including estates both with and without a Will. Probate fees are charged on work done rather than as a percentage of the estate.
• Powers of Attorney — General Powers of Attorney (e.g. for those travelling or temporarily unable to manage their affairs) and Deputyship Order applications to the Court of Protection.
• Polish Language Services — a dedicated Polish Team based in the Faringdon office, with a Polish-speaking reception line, covering property, family law, wills and probate, powers of attorney, employment settlement advice, and commercial property/business sales for Polish-speaking clients.

Business Services

• Commercial Property — acting for landlords and tenants and on sale/purchase transactions, from single units for small businesses to shops, pubs, warehouses, factories and multi-unit premises; clients range from start-ups to larger organisations and property investors.
