Driving Defences is a specialist motoring law practice, and we deal with nothing else. Led by Philip Trotter and Martin Hammond, who between them bring decades of experience defending motorists, we are founding members of the Society of Motoring Law, with Martin serving as its Chairperson. From our offices in Salford and London, we represent clients right across England and Wales, and we are proud to be recognised as one of the country's most trusted names in motoring defence work.

We cover the full range of driving offences, including drink driving, drug driving, speeding, exceeding twelve points and facing a totting up disqualification, driving while disqualified, careless and dangerous driving, and failing to stop or report an accident. Every case is different, so rather than applying a blanket approach, we build a tailored strategy around each client's circumstances, and solicitors and barristers handle our cases from the outset.

We believe strong legal representation should be accessible, so we offer free initial advice and work on a fixed-fee basis with no hidden extras or travel charges.
