Eccles Heddon Solicitors has served Ripon and the surrounding North Yorkshire market towns since 1937, when John William Heddon, Stanley Brayshay and William Maylott Eccles founded the firm. Nearly ninety years on, we remain proudly independent, with our head office on Westgate in Ripon supported by longstanding branches in Bedale and Thirsk. Our partners, David Shackleton, Claire Green, Nick White, Tom Craven and Oliver Riley, lead a close-knit team who take real pride in getting to know our clients and the communities we serve.
We offer a broad range of legal services to individuals, families and businesses across North Yorkshire, including wills, trusts, probate and lasting powers of attorney, inheritance tax and succession planning, agricultural law, family law, dispute resolution, corporate and commercial matters, and residential and commercial property. We hold the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme accreditation, several of our solicitors are STEP qualified, and we are members of the Association of Lifetime Lawyers, reflecting our particular expertise in supporting older and vulnerable clients. We do not pay referral fees, preferring instead to build our reputation through the quality of our advice and the recommendations of the clients we have served for generations.
