Malcolm Foy opened this firm in Doncaster in 1972, and more than fifty years later we are still here, still independent, and still run on the same idea: that good legal advice is advice you can actually understand. We work from three offices in South Yorkshire, in Doncaster, Rotherham and Tickhill, and a good many of our clients are the children and grandchildren of people we acted for decades ago.

We are a multi-disciplinary practice, which in a firm our size means something practical rather than grand: whatever you come to us about, you will be looked after by someone who does that work properly, and if your matter touches on more than one area we can deal with it under one roof without passing you around. We also offer notarial services through our own Notary Public, so documents destined for use abroad can be authenticated and legalised here rather than sent somewhere else.

Our three working principles are simple enough to fit on a postcard: go above and beyond, keep it simple, and work as one team. They shape how we answer the phone as much as how we run a file.
