Milburns has been looking after West Cumbria for more than a hundred years. It began as a family firm, and it still works like one, which in a place this size matters more than it might elsewhere. We tend to know the people we act for, and often their parents as well.
We work from two fully staffed offices, in Workington and Whitehaven, and we do three things: property, family, and wills and probate. We have deliberately not tried to be everything to everybody. What we would rather be is the firm that gets those three right, with a named person on your matter who answers the telephone when you ring.
For a firm of our size, we are unusually heavily accredited. We hold Lexcel and the Conveyancing Quality Scheme from the Law Society, along with their accreditations in family law and in children law, and we are certified to ISO 9001 and under Cyber Essentials. That is a great deal of outside inspection for a two-office practice, and we think that is rather the point. You should not have to take our word for it.
