We are Mortimers, and Christopher Waters set the firm up in Bridgnorth in 1998 with the aim of providing a modern and approachable legal service. That is still very much the idea. We opened in Hereford in 2003, took on Gardner Dallimore in 2018 and R George Davies of Abergavenny in 2023, and we now work across Shropshire, Herefordshire and into south-east Wales.
There are fourteen of us in the legal team, most carrying specialist accreditations. We hold Lexcel and the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme, and our family department holds both the Family Law and Children Law accreditations, along with a Legal Aid Agency contract, so legal aid is available for family work where you qualify. We are signatories to the Armed Forces Covenant, and we are Cyber Essentials certified. Whatever brings you to us, you will find expert legal knowledge delivered in a genuinely friendly and approachable manner throughout all our departments.
