Mullis & Peake

We are Mullis and Peake, and we have been part of Romford since 1902, when Fred Mullis opened for business above a cycle shop on North Street. Lewis Peake joined him after he was demobilised at the end of the First World War, and the name has been on the door ever since. We now work from Romford, Shenfield in Brentwood, and Upminster, and we have grown by bringing other local firms into the fold, taking on McCorry Connolly in 2018, Stanton and Doran in 2022, and Wells Solicitors in 2023.

We are a full-service firm, which means the same people can help you buy a house, write a will, deal with a difficult employer or handle a dispute for your business. We hold Lexcel and the Conveyancing Quality Scheme, we are members of the Law Society's Personal Injury and Family Law accreditation schemes, we belong to the LawNet network, and we have held ISO 9001 certification since 1994, which is a long time to keep passing an independent audit. If a dispute can be settled through negotiation or mediation, we will tell you so, because litigation should be a last resort rather than a first move.
