We are Nalders, one of the largest law firms in Cornwall, with seven offices in Truro, St Austell, Camborne, Falmouth, Helston, Newquay and Penzance. Our story begins around 1783, when a young man called John James was in practice in Truro on King Street with a Mr Thomas. In 1890, Henry Hockin amalgamated that firm with one in Falmouth, and one of the partners there was Frederick Nalder, whose name we have carried ever since. That gives us more than two hundred and twenty-five years in this county.
What we aim to offer is City legal expertise in a friendly, down-to-earth setting. There are fifty-eight fee earners here now, across business and employment law, property, litigation, personal injury and clinical negligence, wills and probate, and family. We hold Lexcel and the Conveyancing Quality Scheme, we have an APIL Senior Litigator in the injury team, we are STEP members, and all our family solicitors belong to Resolution. Having been part of the Cornish community for over 225 years, we enjoy trying to give back as much as we can.
