National Legal Service

We are National Legal Service, and our mission is to make a positive impact in people's lives. We were founded in London in 2017 with a team of twenty, and we have grown into one of the busiest family and children law practices in the country, working with clients from our London base and from meeting locations across England, from Leeds and Liverpool to Guildford, Maidstone and Middlesbrough.

Almost all of what we do is publicly funded, and we are proud of that. We hold a Legal Aid Agency contract, and we are one of the largest providers of legal aid to people facing domestic abuse. Much of our work is care proceedings and child protection, where parents are dealing with social services at the hardest moment of their lives, and public law challenges to the decisions of local authorities and other public bodies. Each of our clients is treated as a person, not simply a case to be solved. We hold Lexcel and Law Society accreditation in children law, we are recognised in the Legal 500 for family and children work, and our team speaks a wide range of languages between them, so that more people can be heard properly.
