We are Ormrods Solicitors and Advocates, and we have been providing legal services to the Fylde coast and beyond for over twenty years. We work from two offices, at Victoria Square in Thornton-Cleveleys and on Whitegate Drive in Blackpool, and between our team there is more than fifty years of collective legal experience.
The word Advocates in our name is not decoration. Your file is handled directly by experienced solicitors and advocates rather than passed down a chain, and we do our own advocacy, with a network of barristers behind us when a case needs one. We also have a Notary Public in the firm, which turns out to be useful far more often than people expect, particularly for documents heading overseas.
At Ormrods you are never treated like a case number. We take the time to understand what you are actually trying to achieve, and we give clear, jargon-free advice that protects your personal finances, your family and your business. We are transparent about cost. We work to fixed fees wherever we can, we publish our prices for conveyancing, probate, debt recovery and employment matters, and we treat litigation as the last resort rather than the first move. Most disputes are better settled through negotiation, mediation or a round table meeting, and we will tell you plainly if that is where we think your case belongs.
