We are Osbornes Law. Everything we do starts with you. We were founded in Camden in 1973 and took our name from William Alfred Laughton Osborn, who practised from the same Parkway address from 1927, and more than fifty years later there are over 160 of us across two north London offices, in Camden Town and in Hampstead.

We are a private client firm in the fullest sense of that phrase, and one of the leading claimant practices in London. On one side of the firm we act for people who have been seriously injured or badly let down by their medical care, and for families going through separation, including some of the most complex international children cases in the country. On the other we do work that many firms of our size no longer touch: tenant side social housing and disrepair, homelessness, community care, welfare benefits and judicial review, much of it publicly funded. We endeavour to use the law as a means for delivering social justice, and we mean it.

We also have a substantial property practice covering residential and commercial conveyancing, leasehold enfranchisement and property litigation, a private client team handling wills, trusts, probate and the disputes that sometimes follow, and a Court of Protection team acting for people who can no longer manage their own affairs.

Cost should not decide whether somebody gets proper representation. We run most injury and clinical negligence claims on a no win, no fee basis, we hold legal aid contracts in housing and community care, and a great deal of our private client and property work is done for a fixed fee agreed at the outset.

We hold Lexcel, the Conveyancing Quality Scheme and the Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme, along with places on the Law Society personal injury, clinical negligence and children law panels, and we are members of Resolution, STEP, APIL and AvMA. In Chambers UK for 2026 we are ranked in eight departments with twenty three ranked individuals, we are a Legal 500 Leading Firm, and we have been named in The Times Best Law Firms for eight years running. Around eighty per cent of our partners came up through the firm.
