We are Oslers, and we have been defending and advising people in East Anglia since 1997, when Paul Osler opened the firm. We work from two offices, one in Stowmarket and one in Cambridge, and between them we cover Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk, from Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds through to Ely and Thetford.

We do a small number of things and we do them properly. Criminal defence is the heart of the firm, and we pride ourselves in being able to provide twenty four hour legal advice at the police station, three hundred and sixty five days of the year, with duty solicitors and two Higher Courts Advocates among us. Alongside that we have a family department, and since 2017 a dedicated child care team representing parents, relatives, foster carers and children themselves through care proceedings.

We are approachable, cost effective and efficient, and we aim to provide legal advice in a professional and cost efficient manner without sacrificing our client care. We hold Lexcel, we have a member of the Law Society Children Panel among our team, and our family lawyers are members of Resolution. Legal aid is available for much of our criminal and child care work. When all the decisions seem difficult, we can help.
