We are Pickering & Butters, one of the longest-established legal practices in Staffordshire, with roots going back more than 130 years. The firm as it stands today came from the 1975 merger of Pickering & Pickering, founded in Stafford around 1890 and in Rugeley in 1956, and Paul Butters & Co, established in 1932. We work from Greengate Street in Stafford and from Rugeley.
For businesses, we cover commercial and corporate work, commercial property, commercial litigation, employment, franchising, public services, and agriculture and rural affairs. For individuals, we handle family law, wills, trusts and probate, residential property, personal injury, medical negligence, settlement agreements and litigation.
We hold the Law Society Conveyancing Quality accreditation and are members of Resolution, and Lexcel has rated our practice management as excellent. In our own client survey, every respondent said we had understood what they needed, and 98 per cent said they would recommend us.
