Southerns
Average review score : 4.2
Combining up-to-date specialist knowledge with a down-to-earth approach, we at Southerns are one of Lancashire's oldest established firms. Founded by the Shaw family in 1868 as Southern, Jobling and Ashworth, we have grown through a series of mergers, most recently joining with O'Donnells Solicitors of Preston in 2024.
We help individuals and businesses with conveyancing, wills and probate, personal injury and medical negligence, disputes and debt recovery, commercial litigation, and 24/7 criminal and motoring defence. We are also known for our legal aid mental health and mental capacity work and for actions against the police.
We hold the Law Society's Lexcel and Conveyancing Quality Scheme accreditations, together with its Mental Capacity and Clinical Negligence accreditations, and we work from offices across Lancashire and the North West, including Burnley, Blackburn, Blackpool, Chorley, Preston and Warrington, as well as Manchester and York.
